We had our ups and downs but I'm glad it happened, and wouldn't change a thing! Thanks so much for keeping me entertained for so many years!
I loved the ending, and despite what others feel about it, I'm so glad that it happened! Wouldn't change a thing! This final episode was really well done and sparked that urge inside me to watch the whole show over again, start to finish! IT'S A NEED!
Some people are dissing the ending, and freaking out about how Dexter dealt with Debra, but they are missing the entire point of his actions at the end. What he did was significant in so many ways- It was the only way Dexter knew how to deal with his issues, the entire show!
Dexter dealt with Debra the same way he's dealt with all his other victims, because yes, Dexter admits that he feels like Debra is his Victim. So he treats her like one.
I really don't understand how some people can say they are die hard fans of the show and not truly understand what the writers have done for such a beautiful series.
But everyone is allowed their own opinion, so here's mine: FANTASTIC SHOW. FANTASTIC ENDING, AND JUST DOWN RIGHT SATISFYING. THANK YOU ALL, and goodnight!
-- I saw someone on Tumblr say this--
"People really expected Dexter to have an apple pie life with Hannah and Harrison in Argentina?? Living happily ever after?? Come on, guys ! We knew all along that Dexter wasn't capable of that kind of things. There was no way that he was gonna get a happy ending. "
And they are totally right. Some people completely missed the point of the entire show. That point could be a lot of the small things, but the main one (that I see) is that Dexter couldn't live a normal life. As much as he wanted to be 'normal' he wasn't. He is poison to everyone he comes into contact with. People should have realized this the moment they started watching a show about a serial killer.
At some point, the ending would come around the corner and of COURSE Dexter isn't going to get away with what he's done scott free.
Come on people!
Anywho, I really enjoyed the ending as I stated before, and I won't start hating on a show after all the entertainment it's given me for so many years just because of one episode. (Although, I have to admit that the doomsday season was rather dull, I still pulled through and it certainly lead me around many unexpected turns.) That's entertainment in my eyes!
Canada is safe now. It's Lumberjack season!
